Earth day has come and gone and I know you guys have already forgotten all about recycling. But I want to tell you about something to really save the environment (and your wallets). BICYCLING! It’s BIKE TO WORK WEEK, so why not get out there and join the hordes of cool people in spandex and lycra!

OH WAIT. I meant the other bicycling. So grab your Super 30-speed Huffy with the bling bling rims and come out and join us!
Once you have your awesome bike, follow my helpful tips and you too can be the Next Lance Armstrong!
- Make sure to use Google Maps to map out your ride, drive the path the day before on your way into work
– You want to avoid riding on major streets (El Camino for peeps here in the Valley and Wilshire/Santa Monica for those in LA). Stick to the side streets, they have fewer stop lights and typically have a bike lane
- Ride with the direction of traffic (NOT AGAINST)
- Inflate your tires, the more inflated, the easier it will roll and the LESS you have to pedal
- Wear a helmet
- If you have showers or lot’s of stuff, leave it at work the day before
- Give yourself plenty of time, 8/min mile is safe. Stretch beforehand
It’s fun, great exercise and $AVE$ you gas! And on May 15, most cities will have plenty of designated rest spots with freebies and nutrional stuff
