…nice people still in this world!
I had stopped to get some gas (which was incredibly expensive) on my way to play basketball this morning where I had apparently DROPPED my wallet! It was not until after the game, 3 hours later, that I realized it was missing. I hurriedly drove back to where I last remember using it. The lady at the gas station showed me the wallet and asked if I had any ID, and I said, “Sure, it’s right… over… here!” as I smiled and whipped out my driver’s license.
Everything was right where I left it. I realize I was very lucky and was overjoyed to get it back. There ARE nice and honest people and that makes me very happy. I know I would have done the same thing, but it is VERY reassuring to know others would do the same. It probably helped that I had a whopping $0 in there to begin with and earned some sympathy, but let’s not speculate on that part of the story. =)
