Some things look good on paper, but when put to the test in the real-world, they fail miserably. We see examples of this everywhere in the tech industry (all industries for that matter). Most of the time, it truly is “you get what you pay for”. Although on paper the stats are meant to accurately describe a product, sometimes it just isn’t true. However, this doesn’t apply to people. Good thing too, otherwise this world would be even more jacked up than it already is. There are plenty of people I know that don’t fit the typical mold, but in fact, accel and surpass what society deems as the “ideal person”. But just like regular products: The only real way you know is through word-of-mouth or try-it-yourself.

You see, when people are presented with a problem, in their minds, they attempt to create a rationale, sometimes meticulous and well-thought solution. However, as much as we think we’ve solved world hunger, in creeps complicated dependencies: the unknown and emotion. You would think most people realize that things are not all black and white. If it were, we would all be all holding hands, skipping, singing kumbaya. Instead, we’re all biased in one way and some more extreme than others. We all don’t come to the same conclusions.

Somehow, people get along, ableit some better than others. If you think about it, it shouldn’t be hard to just ‘get along’ with someone at its most basic level, but even that can often be challenge. Why? We’re different and more complicated than we’d like to admit. Sometimes pride gets in the way. Sometimes the only thing rational is the irrational. Often, logic is not always applicable.
